Surfside Recovery

Surfside is a men’s addiction recovery program in Ventnor City, New Jersey, supporting men and families facing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and co-occurring conditions. Its long-term, adventure-based approach combines the 12-step model with structure, accountability, peer community, and a pathway toward independence. The program guides participants through three phases: rebuilding stability and self-esteem, rediscovering interests and purpose through activities, and supporting recovery across the family system.

Surfside provides wraparound support designed to connect daily life with traditional care. It encourages participants to work with local clinical and medical providers, including off-site services, and incorporates research-informed practices into its schedule. Life skills development and staff-supervised physical activities are central to the program. Options include surfing, kayaking, hiking, climbing, team sports, yoga, and weightlifting. Camp Surfside offers an off-site adventure park, while CrossFit Saltwater is a fitness center of more than 6,500 square feet. Surfside is affiliated with, but separate from, Surfside Structured Sober Living, a licensed cooperative sober living residence in New Jersey.
