Surf Stash

Surf Stash is an online surf equipment rental service based in Peniche, Portugal, founded in 2021 and now led by Guillaume Mallet. Created to make surf travel easier, the brand helps visitors avoid transporting their own boards by offering quality equipment for a range of skill levels, from beginners to advanced surfers. Its selection includes softboards, hybrid soft-tops, funboards, shortboards, fish, mid-lengths, longboards and performance shapes, alongside wetsuits for year-round conditions.

Boards come from Portuguese and international shapers and brands, including Al Merrick, Pyzel, NSP, Firewire and Hayden Shapes. Rentals start at €60 per week for softboards, with options for different board types and rental periods. Customers book online, then Surf Stash delivers and collects equipment at accommodation or a chosen beach.

Delivery is free within 15 km of central Peniche for bookings of €20 or more, with paid service available up to 120 km, including Lisbon. Every surfboard rental includes a protective bag, fins and leash, and boards are delivered waxed and ready to use
