Surplus Groep

Surplus is a social work, care and housing organisation serving communities across West Brabant in the Netherlands. Its approach starts with seeing each person as an individual, with their own story, needs, wishes and dreams. Surplus offers support in neighbourhoods, at home and in residential settings, helping people find services suited to their circumstances.

Neighbourhood services include community meeting places, day activities, youth work, social work, mediation between neighbours and advice on money and legal matters. At home, people can access nursing, practical support, guidance, meals, transport, personal alarms and volunteer companionship. Surplus also provides residential care, short stays and independent rental housing.

Treatment and specialist services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, speech therapy, dietetics, music therapy and spiritual care. The organisation also supports family caregivers and offers expertise in dementia, Parkinson’s disease, aphasia, gerontopsychiatry and palliative care. Surplus works across municipalities including Breda, Oosterhout, Roosendaal and Zundert, connecting residents with local services, care professionals and volunteers.
