Surrey Archaeology

Surrey Archaeology, a well-established brand under the Surrey Archaeological Society, offers a range of products and services related to archaeological research and fieldwork. With a focus on preserving and uncovering Surrey's rich historical heritage, they undertake excavations, surveys, and monitoring. Their research reports, many of which have not been published elsewhere, provide valuable insights into various archaeological sites and findings.

One such report details the ongoing excavations at Cocks Farm Roman villa in Abinger since 2009. These excavations have unearthed well-preserved remains of a Roman building, shedding light on the area's ancient past. Another report highlights the geophysical survey and fieldworking exercise conducted on Neale's Field in Chipstead in 2022.

This project aimed to define and date the site, further complemented by the discovery of rare 15th-century coins. Moreover, Surrey Archaeology publishes reports on archaeological monitoring, prehistoric pottery, medieval graffiti, and other significant findings in the region. Their expertise and dedication to uncovering Surrey's history make them a trusted resource for researchers, historians, and enthusiasts.

With their range of publications, fieldwork reports, and comprehensive archaeological services, Surrey Archaeology is an invaluable asset in understanding and preserving Surrey's rich heritage
