The Surrey Vaisakhi Parade is a vibrant annual celebration commemorating Vaisakhi Day, recognized as one of the most significant festivals in the Sikh calendar. Scheduled for April 20, 2024, this grand event takes place in Surrey, where it draws approximately 500,000 attendees, making it the largest Vaisakhi Parade in the world. The parade, which begins at the Gurdwara Dashmesh Darbar Temple, welcomes participation from a diverse array of community groups, including marching bands, schools, cultural organizations, and performers.

Vaisakhi marks the Sikh New Year and has historically signified a time for farmers to harvest their crops. Since 1699, it has also been a moment for Sikhs to reflect on their heritage and community spirit. The Surrey Vaisakhi Parade is not only an opportunity for Sikhs but for individuals of all cultures to come together, celebrate, and honor the rich traditions associated with this significant festival. Join us to experience the joyous atmosphere filled with vibrant performances, cultural displays, and shared festivities.
