About Survival Codex
Survival Codex is an independent project developing a sealed, offline reference library for practical knowledge and emergency preparedness. Its planned device combines a sunlight-readable e-ink screen, a battery of about 14.8 watt-hours, and a gasket-sealed case designed to hold its page without power. Content will be loaded before shipping, so the library can be used without a signal. The collection is being assembled from existing sources rather than presented as newly invented advice, including US Army field manuals, FEMA and CDC preparedness and public-health materials, NOAA and USGS resources, open maps, public-domain science references, and classic literature.
The planned library covers first aid, water treatment, shelter, food, fire, navigation, hazards, regional maps, weather and infrastructure information, and practical subjects such as sanitation, agriculture, construction, and repair. Survival Codex says it will identify sources and flag guidance that may have aged. The device is in development, with sourcing and electronics specifications underway.
