Survivalrun Vollenhove

Survivalrun Vollenhove is the organization behind Veno in the Wetlands, an annual survival-running event held in and around Vollenhove in the Netherlands. Organized by Stichting Survivalrun Vollenhove, the event brings together competitive athletes, recreational runners and young participants for an outdoor challenge combining running with obstacle courses. Routes have included distances of 5, 8, 9, 13 and 20 kilometres, with categories such as the Short, Middle and Long Survivalrun.

Recreational participants tackle the same general course as competitive runners, with some obstacles adapted to be easier. The route makes use of local streets, woodland, fields, parks and purpose-built training facilities, and features varied obstacles, including rope crossings and climbing challenges. A Kidsrun is also held for schoolchildren, with age-appropriate routes and obstacles designed to encourage participation and enjoyment.

The event relies on volunteers to build and dismantle obstacles and is supported by sponsors. Survivalrun Vollenhove also shares event information, participant guidance, results and organizational news through its website and social channels
