Travels with Susan is the personal website of Susan Roberson, a professor of English, researcher, traveler, and writer. Centered on her life in teaching and on the road, the site shares her perspectives on places visited, journeys taken, and scholarly interests. Its writing brings together literary research and travel experiences, inviting readers to explore both the landscapes and ideas that shape her work.

Roberson’s scholarship focuses on Southern literature, with topics including mobility in William Faulkner, Eudora Welty’s sense of place, ecologies of fear and violence, family dramas, Southern childhood, spiritual hauntings, and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.
