**Sussex Online Parish Clerks (OPC)** is a valuable reference and research resource specifically designed for family historians and genealogists exploring the rich history of East and West Sussex, England. The OPC initiative aims to make parish records freely accessible, enabling users to delve into family, local, social, and economic histories.

The website serves as a central hub, offering extensive collections of parish records, including baptisms, burials, marriages, monumental inscriptions, census returns, and other vital documents—comprising records from approximately 324 parishes. The data is transcribed by dedicated volunteers who assist in creating comprehensive databases to facilitate research.

Users can access various resources, including online transcripts, lookup services via email, and a wealth of additional documents that contribute to a deeper understanding of parish life over the centuries. Sussex OPC is coordinated by Mark Collins and encourages community involvement, making it a collaborative effort that not only preserves history but also fosters connections between individuals researching their ancestry.
