Sussex Meat Packing

Sussex Meat Packing, located in Sussex County, NJ, has been proudly serving the community since 1960. Our roots trace back to the 1950s in Holland, where Andrew VandenAkker, a farmer and local butcher store owner, honed his skills and knowledge of farming and butchering. When Andrew and his family of 11 immigrated to the United States in 1957, they brought their expertise with them.

Today, Sussex Meat Packing is a family-owned and operated business, led by Andrew's son, Henry VandenAkker. Henry has continued the tradition of providing the freshest quality meats at bargain prices while collaborating with local farmers and hunters. Starting with a small shop on 565 in Wantage, Henry's business and reputation grew steadily, leading to the opening of two more locations.

However, to focus more on his family, Henry ultimately sold those locations and now solely operates the popular Wantage location on Route 23. Sussex Meat Packing offers a wide range of products and services to cater to your needs. Whether you're in the mood for a delicious family dinner, planning a special event, or simply looking for everyday favorites, our selection has got you covered.

Additionally, we provide catering services, frozen foods, daily lunch and dinner specials, and weekly sales to ensure our customers are satisfied.
