About Centre for Sustainable Healthcare
The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare is a leading brand in the field of sustainable healthcare. Through partnerships with the UK Kidney Association and the Sustainable Healthcare Coalition, they have established a Sustainable Kidney Care Committee. This committee aims to develop and implement a framework that supports UK renal services in achieving the NHS net zero goal.
The primary objective of the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare is to inspire and empower members of the kidney care community to take action towards sustainability. As part of their initiative, they have launched the Sustainable Kidney Care Group Scholar program in partnership with the UK Kidney Association. This program supports a group of kidney care health professionals and health service managers in carrying out a sustainability project over 12 months.
If you are a Kidney Care professional interested in getting involved, you can join the CSH Sustainable Kidney Care network to share ideas, successes, questions, and resources. The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare has a rich history in promoting sustainable kidney care. They have partnered with various organizations and industry partners since 2009 to implement the Green Nephrology program.
Through this program, they have organized summits and fellowships and have created a network of local representatives encompassing over 80% of UK renal units. Their work in sustainable healthcare has been published in medical journals and is recognized as groundbreaking in the field. In addition to their initiatives, the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare offers a Sustainable Kidney Care Course.
This foundation course explores the relationship between health and the environment, with a special focus on kidney care.
