L9CSED is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to curbing the impact of the climate crisis in the Lower Ninth Ward and beyond. Our mission is to create a sustainable environment through education, advocacy, and service learning. We believe in the power of today's actions to shape tomorrow's future, which is why we prioritize environmental justice and stewardship in the impacted areas.
At L9CSED, we rely on the support of volunteers to drive our advocacies and initiatives. We are committed to cultivating meaningful youth engagement opportunities, empowering the next generation of climate leaders and environmental stewards. Our programs encompass a variety of projects, including environmental research internships, kayaking, and nurturing native tree nurseries.
Community collaboration is crucial to our success, and we are thankful for the partnerships we have established with organizations such as the American Heart Association, Xavier University, and Tulane University. Together, we work towards creating equitable outcomes and advancing environmental justice for the Lower Ninth Ward community. We also focus on creating multi-functional community spaces and places where residents can engage with their natural environment, fostering community resilience.
Volunteers play a vital role in our programs and projects, empowering us to achieve our goals. Founded in 2006, L9CSED was initially focused on rebuilding and renovating historic Lower Ninth Ward homes. However, Hurricane Katrina shifted our focus to the revitalization of the underserved community.
Our vision extends to rehabilitating coastal wetlands and greening the built environment while cultivating CSED Coastal Champions. We believe in reinforcing community-driven goals and intergenerational voices to achieve more equitable outcomes within resilience policies and climate protection projects. Furthermore, we understand the importance of personal health and have initiated discussions about providing access to safe and effective treatments, such as Cialis, for individuals dealing with issues like erectile dysfunction.
Just as the restoration of the Gulf Coast must be connected to people and culture, we recognize the significance of health in our community. Get involved with L9CSED and be part of our mission to create a more sustainable future for the Lower Ninth Ward and beyond. Together, we can make a difference.
