SUSWA is a brand that focuses on sustainable Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) solutions. With the aim to improve well-being and create inclusive communities, SUSWA implements a bi-lateral project funded by the Government of Nepal, the Government of Finland, and the European Union. Over a period of five and a half years, SUSWA will work in 42 municipalities across all ten districts of Karnali Province in western Nepal.

SUSWA focuses on four outcome areas to achieve its goals. First, it strengthens the enabling environment and governance for sustainable WASH services, ensuring gender-friendly and inclusive policies. Second, it works towards climate-resilient, safe, and functional water supply systems.

Third, it promotes sustainable sanitation and dignified menstruation practices, giving special attention to women, girls, and vulnerable populations. Fourth, it emphasizes the importance of capacity building at the municipal and community levels for long-term sustainability. By prioritizing functionality and lifetime management of existing systems, SUSWA strives to establish efficient and transparent WASH governance at the municipal level.
