Suteki Designs is a family-run compassion project creating lightweight head and neck support systems for people with weak neck muscles and neuromuscular conditions, including Dropped Head Syndrome, ALS, and Parkinson’s disease. Founded in 2014 by mechanical engineer Creighton Rider, the company grew from his experience living with ALS and his drive to make everyday activities more manageable. After his death in 2023, his daughters continued the work in his memory.
The brand’s support systems are designed to help hold the head upright while preserving lateral movement. Unlike traditional braces that can restrict jaw movement and vision, Suteki Designs uses a flexible elastic connection to a comfortable hat or headband. Its products include the HSS-1, a 2.5-ounce, back-mounted system with adjustable straps, and the HSS-2, which offers the same features and folds for easier transport and storage. Both systems are made to order. Suteki Designs sells its products online and invites customers to get in touch for help choosing a suitable option.
