Suthra Punjab is the flagship waste management and cleanliness initiative of the Government of Punjab, aimed at transforming urban and rural areas into a cleaner, healthier province. The program focuses on achieving zero waste through an integrated approach involving modern machinery, data-driven strategies, and dedicated local teams in every tehsil. Key services include door-to-door waste collection, street sweeping, and proper waste disposal at engineered sites, replacing open dumping practices.

With an emphasis on sustainability, the program aims to eliminate visible waste in public spaces, standardize waste management across all tehsils, and minimize environmental pollution. Suthra Punjab also seeks to create green jobs for thousands of sanitation workers while enhancing the quality of life for residents. Digital governance, including digital dashboards and mobile applications, ensures effective monitoring and user engagement. Launched in 2024, the program will steadily expand, establishing a reliable infrastructure for waste management and promoting recycling and composting initiatives as it evolves.
