About Suzanne K Parker
Suzanne K Parker is an American artist whose practice centers on figurative painting and drawing, including the distinctive approach of painting on photographs. Her work explores loss and absence through the faces and human figures that appear throughout her images. Rather than relying on a single medium or style, Parker allows these subjects to take shape across a wide range of materials and visual treatments, giving her portfolio a varied yet recognizable focus on the human presence.
The artist’s website introduces her work through Home, About, Portfolio, and Contact sections, offering visitors a way to explore selected pieces and learn more about her practice. One example is Self Portrait, a 2024 work made with pen and watercolor on paper, measuring 6 by 9 inches. This piece reflects the range of materials in her work and provides a personal example of her figurative approach. Suzanne K Parker presents an art practice grounded in close attention to faces and figures, using painting and drawing to consider what is present, what is missing, and how those ideas can be expressed through images.
