SV Dresden Nord

Schwimmverein Dresden Nord e. V. is a Dresden-based swimming club whose guiding principle is swimming and learning to swim without pressure to perform.

The club offers scheduled training at the Freiberger Platz and Bühlau swimming halls, with multiple weekly sessions. Its activities include swimming instruction and ongoing training, alongside opportunities for members to take part in competitions and club events. The programme ranges from meets for young swimmers, such as the annual Knirpsen-Schwimmfest, to competitions and sporting events for adults aged 50 and over.

Members can also join internal events, including the annual Sprintertag, and participate in activities such as training camps at Sportpark Rabenberg. The club shares training times, event information, competition reports, and membership updates through its website. It also provides member resources, including club documents, links related to swimming, and an online shop for team clothing and equipment.

With training groups at two Dresden locations and activities for different ages and abilities, Schwimmverein Dresden Nord supports swimming participation in a welcoming, non-performance-focused setting
