Serviços Veterinários Associados Sva

SVA – Serviços Veterinários Associados is an independent veterinary services provider supporting dairy farms in Portugal’s Entre Douro e Minho region. Founded in 1995 by veterinarians Albano Cortez and Fernando Vaz, the organisation was established to offer farms experienced, technically informed veterinary care, with continuous availability. Its team of veterinarians and administrative staff works across animal health, farm management and milk production.

SVA’s services include clinical care, preventive and emergency veterinary assistance, reproductive management, udder health and milk quality programmes, and technical and economic farm management. The team also advises on nutrition, biosecurity and calf rearing, helping dairy producers address animal health risks and improve the efficiency of their operations. Its approach combines support for individual animals with planning for the wider needs of the farm, including reproductive performance and responsible prevention of disease. SVA provides an emergency contact alongside its general and laboratory contacts, reflecting its focus on practical, ongoing assistance to dairy enterprises.
