Svendborg Aikido

Svendborg Aikido Skole is an aikido and self-defense association based in Svendborg, on the island of Funen in Denmark. Founded in 2007, the school brings together traditional practice, technical training, and a welcoming sense of community. Its approach recognizes that aikido can mean different things to different people: physical exercise and self-defense for some, a distinctive social community for others, and an opportunity for personal insight for those seeking it.

The school invites newcomers to try aikido and visit, and shares practical information to help people get started, including membership fees, frequently asked questions, and training times. Its website also introduces aikido, the school’s history and instructors, and provides relevant documents and contact information. With a new season beginning, Svendborg Aikido Skole welcomes visitors interested in exploring the practice and finding out what aikido can offer them. Whether a person is drawn by movement, self-defense, tradition, or fellowship, the club presents training as an experience shaped by both technique and shared participation.
