Svendborg Flyveklub is an aviation club based in Svendborg, Denmark, with a history dating back to 1943. The club brings together people interested in flying and shares information about its activities, aviation events, and life at the local airfield, identified on its website as EKST. Its online resources include briefings, a calendar, current news, photographs and videos, and information about aircraft and events at EKST, as well as other events.
The club also organizes community activities and celebrations. Its 75th anniversary, held on 1 September 2018, featured attractions in the air and on the ground and welcomed around 1,200 visitors, along with 100 visiting aircraft guests. The event included an aerial wedding, with the winning couple married in flight by Svendborg’s mayor. The website thanks the members, sponsors, volunteers, and visitors who contributed to the celebration and provides access to a commemorative publication covering the club’s history, its flying activities, challenges facing the airfield, and future visions.
