Svenska Österbottens Litteraturförening is a literary and cultural association founded on 17 June 1950. It welcomes people interested in culture and literature in Ostrobothnia and works with a range of cultural partners to promote Ostrobothnian and Finland-Swedish literature. The association publishes Horisont, a literary magazine that provides a platform for writing and discussion connected with its field.
It also manages several dedicated funds: the Kaj Hagman Fund, the Nadeschda Martinoff Fund in memory of Hagar Olsson, and the Inga-Britt Wik Fund. These funds form part of the association’s work in support of literature and cultural activity. Visitors can learn about the association, read current news and material from its archive, explore its statutes and funds, and find recommendations from the organization.
The association also invites interested readers to become members and provides contact information for those seeking further details. Based in Vaasa, Svenska Österbottens Litteraturförening serves as a meeting point for people who value the region’s literary traditions and contemporary cultural life
