Světlo rodin

Světlo rodin, z.ú. is a family association based in Ostrava, Czech Republic, supporting families who care for children with autism spectrum disorders, Asperger syndrome, Down syndrome, ADHD, developmental language disorder and similar conditions. Its work focuses on helping children communicate, develop skills and feel safer and more at ease in everyday situations, while building a connected, supportive community for their families.

The organization runs therapeutic play sessions for children from early childhood through adolescence, using guided activities, toys and therapeutic materials to encourage cognitive, motor and psychomotor development. It also organizes family events, outings, lectures, workshops and therapies, and offers relaxing activities for parents and other caregivers. Světlo rodin collaborates with Snoezelen Ostrava and a local hyperbaric chamber provider. Through podcasts and social media, it raises public awareness and promotes understanding of children with disabilities. The organization also aims to create safe housing for six people with autism as they reach adulthood, and to strengthen support for families across the Moravian-Silesian Region.
