Segler-Vereinigung Oberrieden (SVO) is a sailing club on Lake Zurich, Switzerland, with around 120 members. Founded in 1978, the association offers a welcoming community focused on cruising, enjoyment of sailing and sociable gatherings. Its club fleet includes two sailing dinghies, a 420 and a Laser, alongside pool boats and other boats listed for members’ use. The club also features SUPs and additional vessels, including a Laser Vago, Sailart 24 and Djinn 26.
Members can take part in sailing and social events throughout the year, with activities including club regattas, seasonal gatherings and a fox hunt. The SVO works with neighbouring communities to support junior sailing and has offered training for young sailors. It is a member of the Zurich Sailing Association and Swiss Sailing.
The club’s home is a clubhouse at Seestrasse 53a in Oberrieden, near the harbour and public bathing area. Its welcoming venue hosts club events, training, family celebrations and other gatherings, and is available for hire.
