SV RISING STARS

SV Rising Stars Youth Sports is a nonprofit organization in Southern Illinois dedicated to empowering young people through basketball and community support. Established in 2020, the program gives children in grades 2 through 5 an opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals before entering junior high. Its mission is to provide a safe, welcoming environment where children can grow, build confidence, and develop as individuals and teammates.

The organization aims to make participation accessible to children of all skill levels and financial circumstances, recognizing that barriers should not prevent young people from taking part. To support its program and provide children with a positive experience, SV Rising Stars hosts multiple local fundraisers throughout the year and welcomes community involvement and donations.

SV Rising Stars is also a partner of the Valier First Baptist Church and shares information about the church’s youth program. Families and supporters can learn about the organization’s mission, league, board members, fundraising activities, and participating young athletes through its website and Facebook updates.
