Segler Verein Scharfe Lanke e. V. (SVSL) is a family-oriented sailing club based in Berlin-Spandau, offering a welcoming home for cruising and racing sailors on the Unterhavel, with access to the Havel and Wannsee. The club has around 90 members, whose fleet includes more than 30 sailing boats and four motorboats. Members can use the club’s own boats, and affordable moorings, an on-site clubhouse and an idyllic sailing location support an active community on and off the water.
SVSL organizes club regattas, typically on Saturdays, where newcomers are welcome and the focus is on practicing maneuvers and enjoying sailing together; results are calculated using the Yardstick system. Its activities also include children’s and youth sailing, cruising, and sailing courses. The club’s training has received multiple awards from the German Sailing Association. Members benefit from the club’s facilities, including its own boat crane and winter storage arrangements. SVSL welcomes new members whether or not they own a boat, and offers convenient public transport connections to the grounds.
