Swarm Defense Technologies is a U.S.-based defense company that designs and manufactures drone swarm systems in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Drawing on experience in commercial drone light shows, the company applies its expertise in reliability, synchronization, and large-scale operations to military and training applications. Its products include the Kiwi attack drone and the Swarm Threat Emulator (STE), a reusable target-drone system for realistic counter-uncrewed aircraft system (C-UAS) training. The STE combines target drones, a ground control station, and mission-planning software.

The company’s software ecosystem connects mission planning, training, and live operations. Swarm Studio supports mission planning and swarm coordination, while Strike Deck enables one operator to manage multiple FPV drones with coordinated planning and automated path deconfliction. Swarm Defense also offers configurable target-drone systems and training capabilities for military C-UAS programs. Its systems are designed for scalable operations, including environments where GPS is unavailable or communications are challenged. The company reports domestic manufacturing, more than 25,000 flight hours, and experience flying swarms of over 2,000 drones under one operator.
