The Society of Swedish Engineers in Great Britain is a registered charity founded in 1924 to bring together Swedish engineers living in Great Britain and encourage technical exchange between Sweden and the British Commonwealth. It provides opportunities for members and others interested in technical matters to connect professionally and socially through networking events, lectures and visits to engineering and technology organisations. The Society also supports Swedish engineers through scholarships that help recipients visit the UK and study at British technology institutions.
Its activities include building relationships and sharing knowledge with relevant UK organisations; it is represented on the Business Executives Council of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering. Membership is open to people of good repute who have an interest in technical matters. The Society’s events offer exposure to developments across the technology landscape, including planned visits focused on topics such as artificial intelligence and media.
Its scholarship programme has supported engineers pursuing advanced study and research in the UK
