Sweet Share is an organization focused on improving life for people and families affected by Type 1 diabetes. Its approach combines strategic investment, corporate engagement, and community connections to advocate for the diabetes community and help expand access to useful resources.
Through strategic investment, Sweet Share invests in companies whose work affects people with diabetes. It uses its investment position to engage company leaders, vote on policies, and advance the interests of the Type 1 diabetes community. The organization also works with corporations to discuss practical ways to improve lives and access for people living with diabetes, in alignment with corporate strategies. In addition, Sweet Share connects organizations with the Type 1 diabetes community so individuals and families can find resources to manage the condition and pursue full, healthy lives.
Founded by Dr. Michael Gambrel, Sweet Share invites supporters to contribute through donations and offers updates through its blog. Its articles address topics such as diabetes advocacy, employee benefits, and awareness campaigns.
