Swimmable

Swimmable is a swimming school based at Gardens Centre in Gardens, Cape Town, teaching local families since 2013. It offers lessons for swimmers at every stage, from babies aged three months to adult beginners and improvers. Baby classes introduce water confidence with a parent or guardian in the pool, while toddler lessons help children aged three to four develop independence. Children aged four and older can join group or private lessons, and adults can learn in small, non-judgemental groups. Holiday courses are also available.

Lessons take place in an indoor pool heated to 34 degrees throughout the year. Swimmable’s teachers are STA-accredited, and the school says it follows European health and safety standards. Small classes are designed to give swimmers individual attention. The Gardens Centre location also offers families a comfortable waiting room with a coffee shop and free Wi-Fi, spacious changing rooms with hot showers and baby-changing facilities, and safe parking.
