Swimming with Mariah ISR provides Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) Self-Rescue swimming lessons focused on helping young children develop aquatic safety skills. The program is designed for children ages six months to six years and teaches survival swimming responses intended to help a child respond if they enter the water unexpectedly. ISR draws on more than 55 years of research and experience, and reports delivering over 19 million lessons worldwide.
The business is owned and operated by Mariah Martin, a certified ISR instructor and mother of three. After seeing her niece and nephews take ISR lessons, and later enrolling her own children, Mariah was inspired to become part of the program and its drowning-prevention mission. Swimming with Mariah ISR offers lessons and shares water safety information through its website, including an FAQ for families. Its work supports ISR’s mission, “Not One More Child Drowns.” ISR emphasizes that lessons complement, rather than replace, other protections such as pool fences, alarms, and active adult supervision.
