Swim Studio

Swim Studio is a swimming and aquatic exercise centre in Schuinshoogte, Newcastle, focused on helping people of all ages build water skills and support their physical and mental wellbeing. Its mission is to serve the local community through disciplined swimming instruction and exercise, while keeping swimming accessible for families.

The centre offers Waterbabies sessions, learn-to-swim lessons, advanced Olympic-stroke training and Aquacise. Its programme also promotes water safety and the benefits of swimming, including exercise, coordination, muscle development and confidence in the water. A swim shop is listed among its offerings.

Swim Studio has a fully indoor, heated pool, so lessons can generally continue regardless of the weather. During severe conditions such as thunder or lightning, staff decide at lesson time whether to use the pool or provide swimming videos or teach techniques on land. The website also features information about facilities, a gallery, a code of conduct, and articles for families on topics such as children’s reluctance to swim and separation anxiety.
