Swintonpower

Swinton Power is a Detroit-area skating instruction and athletic training business led by owner and director Jessica Swinton. Drawing on her background in physical education, kinesiology, and athletics, Jess provides coaching designed to help skaters of different ages and ability levels improve their performance on and off the ice. The program emphasizes explosive power, edge control, agility, speed, and sound skating technique, with instruction tailored to athletes’ individual needs.

Training options include one-on-one lessons, small-group sessions, Power Hours, team instruction, clinics, and a figure skating boot camp. Coaching may address stride mechanics, body and edge control, quickness, reaction time, flexibility, and movement techniques informed by biomechanics. Swinton Power also offers opportunities for teams and groups to request sessions.

Based at St. Mary’s Athletic Complex in West Bloomfield, Michigan, the business schedules training throughout the week. Its approach combines focused technical coaching with energetic drills intended to keep athletes engaged as they develop their skating skills. Swinton Power invites skaters and teams to contact the business to arrange training.
