Swisskarate

Swisskarate AG is a Shotokan karate school based in Zurich, Switzerland, offering training at dojos in Zurich, Wallisellen, and Fehraltorf. The school presents Karate-Dō as more than physical exercise, promoting self-confidence, social skills, and mental and physical fitness. Its programs include karate for children, teenagers, and adults, as well as seasonal activities such as a karate camp in Urnäsch and summer training. A yoga course is also offered in Wallisellen.

Training covers the core elements of Shotokan practice: kihon, the fundamentals and basic techniques; kata, structured sequences of movements; and kumite, the practice and application of techniques with a partner. Swisskarate distinguishes between karate as a sport and as a martial art, and invites newcomers to book a trial session. The school’s history includes its Zurich dojo, established in 1976, and its Wallisellen dojo, established in 1981; the Fehraltorf dojo dates from 2003. The website also features trainer information, schedules, videos, and an annual program.
