The Swiss Lung Foundation is a Swiss charitable foundation established in 1988 to support lung health through research and professional education, in Switzerland and internationally. Its work includes funding research projects, supporting the development of lung specialists, and providing grants for academic work and publications. The foundation has supported training through the East African Training Initiative in Ethiopia, helping fellows with accommodation costs, and has funded research into topics such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, leukemia, and lung function genetics.

It also promotes scientific understanding of air quality and health through the Swiss Aerosol Award, which recognizes research on atmospheric aerosols and their health effects. In 2025, the award honored studies on pollen exposure and blood pressure, and on the molecular characterization of organic peroxides in fine particles. The foundation invites donations and shares annual reports, research news, award information, publications, and health guidance on its website.
