Swot Diving

Somewhere Out There Diving (SWOT Diving) is a South African diving organisation established in 2012 and legally formed as Somewhere Out There Diving (Pty) Ltd in January 2013. Founded by experienced, highly qualified divers, it serves a broad community, from beginners to advanced and serious technical divers, as well as people interested in freediving and spearfishing. Focused on the needs of divers in Gauteng and neighbouring provinces, SWOT aims to create a sustainable, club-like environment where members can train, develop their skills and explore a wider range of underwater sites.

The organisation places particular emphasis on exploration and organised specialist trips, addressing the limited opportunities it sees for technical divers to join structured excursions after qualifying. Trips are planned to coastal and inland venues across Southern Africa, while also including more frequently visited sites to help novice members build experience. Through training and varied diving opportunities, SWOT seeks to make diving less dependent on routine charter destinations and encourage exploration for divers at different levels of experience.
