About Sydhjørnet
Sydhjørnet is a unique community catering to adults with diagnoses within the autism spectrum, brain injuries, or similar developmental disorders. The facility, located in Vamdrup near Kolding Centrum, offers accommodation for 14 residents with the potential for expansion to 6 more units. Established in March 2012, Sydhjørnet operates as a nonprofit institution governed by a board of 5 members, including parents and external resource persons.
Certified to provide residential care services, the facility has received state support and building subsidies for 12 initial units, now increased to 13. In collaboration with Kristelig Handicapforening, a national disability organization, Sydhjørnet upholds Christian values and principles as outlined in its statutory foundation.
