Established in 1997 and acquired by Foundation Theatres in 2011, it has become a staple in the NSW musical theatre scene. The theater has a rich history of hosting legendary international performers and productions, including world premieres such as "Strictly Ballroom the Musical" and "Dream Lover," as well as Australian premieres like "Legally Blonde the Musical" and "Matilda the Musical.
