About SynaFly
SynaFly is an open-source research and interactive computing project exploring how fruit fly connectome data might inform decentralized infrastructure. Its experience visualizes 141,781 measured MaleCNS soma positions and lets visitors run optional, lightweight CPU challenges locally, producing visual effects tied to verified results. The demonstration has no external mining pool, cryptocurrency payouts, or requirement to connect a wallet; users can adjust compute intensity or stop at any time.
The project investigates bio-sparse approaches to Web3, including proposed low-latency transaction routing, edge RPC cache coalescing, and state compression. Its roadmap describes browser-based edge-capacity testing, followed by potential routing and caching tools for decentralized applications and networks. SynaFly says its technical principles and code are being progressively open-sourced for research and ecosystem development.
The visualization uses MaleCNS v1.0 data under the CC BY 4.0 license, alongside a separate fruit fly body reference based on NeuroMechFly v2 and FlyGym assets. SynaFly clarifies that the display is not a neural simulation, its decorative effects do not represent biological activity, and the experience does not promise token value or investment returns.
