About Strategic Youth Network For Development
Strategic Youth Network For Development (SYND) is a dynamic brand dedicated to empowering youth and creating positive change in Ghana. Through their extensive range of products and services, they aim to address key environmental challenges and promote sustainable development. SYND conducts in-depth research on climate and environmental policies from a youth perspective, providing valuable insights and advocacy support on critical issues such as climate change, biodiversity, renewable energy, and more.
They actively engage with international and national platforms, including the UNFCCC processes and the Green Climate Fund, to push for effective climate action. One of their notable initiatives is the Children for Climate Action (C4C) program, which focuses on raising awareness about climate change among children. Through this initiative, SYND empowers children to voice their concerns and become change agents in fighting climate change within their homes, communities, and among their peers.
Moreover, SYND facilitates youth engagement through their Youth in Natural Resources and Environmental Governance (Youth-NREG) Platform. This platform serves as a space for young people to learn, share knowledge, and collaborate on environmental actions while fostering joint advocacy efforts. SYND's work revolves around four main thematic areas: climate change, forestry, biodiversity, and energy access.
By harnessing the energy and potential of young people, SYND is driving positive transformations and contributing to a sustainable future for Ghana
