Sysad is a community site within the diaspora federated social network, a social platform designed to give people greater control over their online interactions. It provides a place to create an account, connect with others, and share content while choosing who can see each post. Users can share publicly or limit posts to selected groups of contacts, called aspects, making it possible to tailor each audience.

A central feature of diaspora* is its approach to personal data: the network says it does not use members’ information to analyze their interactions or target them with advertising. It also allows people to decide how they identify themselves and how much personal information they share, rather than requiring a real-name identity. These options support a more customizable and privacy-conscious social experience.

Sysad* offers access to the network along with account sign-in and creation, pod statistics, project discussions, and support information. As part of a federated network, it provides a social space centered on connecting and sharing while letting users set their own boundaries and presentation.
