SysTeam Paarberatung is a couples counselling practice in Mannheim, Germany, supporting partners through relationship difficulties, conflict and questions about separation. The practice is led by Erik Trewendt and Sonja Büll, who work together as a male-female team and bring training in systemic therapy and counselling. Their approach treats both partners as equal participants, takes account of each person’s circumstances and relationship history, and helps couples identify shared goals, strengths and new perspectives.

Services include couples counselling on challenges in living together, separation counselling and decision-making, facilitated conversations, and reflection on individual attachment patterns and a couple’s shared history. Sessions aim to help partners communicate more openly and respectfully and find constructive ways forward. The process begins with a free, approximately 20-minute telephone consultation, followed by a two-hour first session. Couples decide the pace and duration of further counselling; some may benefit from a few meetings, while others choose longer support, particularly after a serious breach of trust.
