SystExt is a forward-thinking association dedicated to highlighting the health and environmental issues associated with mining activities in metropolitan France. Since its inception in June 2020, SystExt has extensively engaged with local stakeholders and conducted fieldwork to assess the aftermath of mining operations. The organization aims to reshape our relationship with mineral resources through thorough research and community interaction. SystExt publishes reports on the findings from its studies, and it actively educates the public by organizing conferences in former mining regions, addressing the complexities of post-mining realities.

In addition to its local endeavors, SystExt sheds light on the troubling rise of human rights violations linked to the global mining industry. Its initiatives stress the urgent need for accountability and awareness regarding issues such as land dispossession, environmental degradation, and the injustices faced by indigenous populations.
