About SZH
SZH, Stichting Zeldzame Huisdierrassen, is dedicated to preserving our living heritage and promoting genetic diversity among agricultural animals in the Netherlands. They advocate for authentic breeds to regain their significance in our society by promoting new roles for them. SZH offers a range of services and resources to support their mission.
The Zeldzame huisdierwijzer (Rare Pet Guide) helps individuals discover and register rare breeds in their area. They also provide information on caring for and breeding these animals, as well as guidance on legal regulations. SZH actively collaborates with recognized breeding centers and breed organizations.
They also offer educational materials and promote awareness through guest lectures and information campaigns. Be part of the effort to save our living heritage by donating or becoming a friend of SZH. Stay updated with their newsletter, which includes news, articles, and stories.
SZH invites everyone to attend the Levend Erfgoed Dagen (Living Heritage Days) in September, where rare breeds can be seen at 50 locations across the Netherlands
