Welcome to the website of Szinonima Szótár, the online thesaurus of Hungary. We are building an online thesaurus that anyone can contribute to and edit at any time. Our goal is to create Hungary's largest and best thesaurus, which can assist in composition and text editing.

While our database is still small, we are working hard to fill it as quickly as possible. We kindly ask for your patience in the meantime. For software development tasks, we cannot release our database.

As an alternative, we recommend the libreoffice thesaurus, which has a freely downloadable database available. Thank you for your requests, but currently we do not wish to and cannot collaborate or establish partnership with anyone. One of our plans is to create an API that will allow external systems to access our database.

We will definitely keep you informed about this on the homepage of the thesaurus! Some recently added words in our database include: spiral, prohibition, yellowish-white, massage, relocation, peace treaty, throughout, detonating, compatible, emphatically, mortal, took place. Random words from our database include: faithful, harvest, rebellious, domestic, profane, painful, lined, bag, humble, curved, multi-storey, bribed. Feel free to contact us.
