Szív-Kör

Szív-Kör Association is a community founded by parents whose children live with heart conditions of varying types and severity. It supports families as they navigate the questions and challenges that can arise from diagnosis through treatment, helping parents feel that they are not alone. The association brings essential information together in an accessible resource centre, with guidance from medical professionals, nurses and psychologists. Its materials include a guide to using the GOKVI website, an information booklet for parents and children, and answers to frequently asked questions. Families can also learn through a video podcast featuring the association’s president and a cardiac surgery coordinator.

Beyond online resources, Szív-Kör creates opportunities for families to connect in person. It regularly organizes shared activities, including walks and outings, sometimes joined by doctors and nurses. A Facebook community and page help families stay connected and find peer support. The association also raises funds to sustain its work through direct donations and sales of a recipe book.
