The Slovak Reservists Association (SAR) is a Slovak civic association that brings together people interested in shooting sports, military-sport activities and national defence preparedness. Open to Slovak citizens, its community includes current and former members of the armed services, competitive shooters, enthusiasts and newcomers developing their skills. SAR works closely with the Slovak Ministry of Defence and organisations with similar aims.

The association organises a varied programme of competitions, from precision shooting with handguns and long guns to timed, dynamic and combined disciplines. Events take place throughout the year, with qualifying competitions leading to official Slovak championships; clubs also host their own cup, memorial and club events. SAR supports practical defence education and international cooperation, including participation in cross-border shooting events and membership in the international Gaminger Initiative Europe, which represents European reserve associations.

Alongside competition, SAR promotes community building and the development of shooting and defence-related skills. Its activities include competitions for different experience levels, club events and opportunities to connect with others who share an interest in responsible, organised sport and preparedness.
