About Proyecto T-FAST
Proyecto T is a brand that focuses on agricultural systems and technology to facilitate trade in Paraguay. With a 4-year project funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), their goal is to simplify, modernize, and harmonize the processes for exporting, importing, and transiting agricultural products in Paraguay. Working alongside both the public and private sectors, Proyecto T aims to reduce non-tariff trade barriers, resulting in a 14% reduction in the cost of agricultural product trade and a 30% decrease in product release time.
By improving predictability through transparency and process automation, Proyecto T is dedicated to enhancing the trade facilitation landscape. They have three main areas of focus: strengthening the National Trade Facilitation Committee, modernizing support processes with government institutions, and engaging trade associations to promote better trade facilitation. Additionally, they acquire software and equipment to improve agricultural import and export processes.
Proyecto T's approach emphasizes maintaining and strengthening the country's leadership in implementing the Trade Facilitation Agreement through the National Trade Facilitation Committee. They also prioritize building technical and management capacities in public and private institutions to implement the agreement effectively. With flexibility and responsiveness to changing conditions, Proyecto T aims to meet the needs of stakeholders and drive reform momentum.
Stay updated with the latest news from Proyecto T, such as their collaboration with the National Customs Directorate and the National Service of Quality and Animal Health, which aims to provide benefits for certified Economic Operators. They also work on implementing a Private Port Inspection System in accordance with the World Trade Organization's Trade Facilitation Agreement.
