About Tabitha’s Toys
Tabitha’s Toys Charity is a compassionate organization founded in memory of Tabitha Lees-Moore, a remarkable girl from Weardale, County Durham, who lived with Edwards Syndrome. The charity is dedicated to enhancing the lives of disabled children in the North East of England by providing essential sensory toys and equipment. Understanding the challenges that many parents and caregivers face, such as limited access to sensory rooms and the need for specialized equipment at unpredictable hours, Tabitha’s Toys offers a vital service.
The charity loans sensory toys and equipment free of charge to children aged 0 to 16 who receive Disability Living Allowance, with a loan period extending up to six months. This initiative is designed to ensure that children can benefit from play and therapy in the comfort of their own homes. Through community engagement and awareness, Tabitha’s Toys Charity embodies hope, support, and love for families navigating complex needs. Join them on their mission by following their social media channels and supporting their valuable efforts.
