Taekwondo 1989 Düren e.V. is a martial arts club founded in Düren in 1989 by eight sports enthusiasts. Today, the association has around 130 members and offers training in Taekwondo and Hapkido across two groups. The club welcomes people interested in martial arts and places particular emphasis on working with children and young people. Qualified trainers aim to support each member individually and help them enjoy their sport.
Training covers martial arts techniques as well as examination requirements, including Poomsae, the practice of formal patterns. The club also values the recognition of its members’ Kup and Dan grades by the German Taekwondo Union and Kukkiwon, the Korean institution named on the club’s website. Taekwondo 1989 Düren provides information for prospective members, including training times, directions and registration documents. Its website also features details about the association, trainers, club news and a photo gallery. The club invites interested visitors to learn more or come by.
