About Tälerbus
The Tälerbus project is an innovative transportation initiative located in the picturesque heart of Austria, promoting eco-friendly mobility across five stunning regions: Salzburger Lungau, Murau, Nockberge, Niedere Tauern, and Maltatal. Established in 1989, Tälerbus offers convenient bus services, including small buses and shared taxis, to popular hiking areas, enabling visitors to explore the beauty of the landscapes without the need for a car.
With 36 years of experience, the project has successfully transported over 450,000 passengers on 22 well-coordinated bus routes, ensuring safe and enjoyable travel for all. Tälerbus takes passengers to eleven car-free hiking zones, connecting them to breathtaking locations like Sticklerhütte and Königalm. The services seamlessly integrate with regional trains, facilitating hassle-free travel from major cities in Austria and even Germany.
The Tälerbus project not only enhances the experience of outdoor enthusiasts but also supports sustainable tourism, allowing travelers to enjoy Austria's natural wonders while minimizing their environmental impact.
